My Otaku Half

Welcome to my blog.

This blog is for me to express my inner Otaku and to share the fun with like-minded readers. Also at the same time to brush up my Japanese/English language.

What is Otaku? In modern Japanese slang, the term otaku refers to fan of, or is specialized in any particular theme, topic, or hobby. In English, it is used to refer specifically to any kind of “geek”, though it can sometimes refer to a fan of anime and/or manga. It also is used to refer to people who appear to be obsessed with Japan and its culture.

Why Otaku? It started during the Army days when the term Otaku become a taboo. I was also named one. Now when I looked back 20 years of my life, yes indeed I qualify to be one. I was a geek during primary school days, had a Japanese penpal during secondary school and was heavily influenced by MavericK-kun about the Japanese culture during days in college. Most of the times I am at home, and now I am crazy about Japan!

About me. I’m not a full Otaku yet, because I do love soccer, and enjoy outdoor activities like maybe shopping. I am quite random at times and may seem to suffer from a split personality disorder. I use my left hand to write but right hand to do labour work. Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay, comments are most welcome although I don’t guarantee replying.
